Be sure to get rid of "wrist breaker" pistol grips such as the 25 degree A2 and get a near vertical pistol grip of at least 14 degrees or less. This will provide a more natural wrist angle and will allow for shorter length of pull.
Sweet, short and to the point. Thank you. I'm up there in height as well but in NY we have communist leaders and have to use fixed stocks so you have to pick a length for a thorsden stock.
Hard not to have it all the way in using my magnifying sight it drives me bonkers being farther away and not having a full view of the magnification 😂 but these tips were actually amazing and you got me rethinking a lot of things here good work man seriously 🎉🎉
I say run it where it’s best for you. I’m 73” and run it two clicks out. I would rather have the weight of the gun closer to my body and I am in now way hunched up.
Blows me away how many people are doing this wrong I just read a thread on AR-15 and close to 50% of them are saying they run their stock like fully collapsed or one click out
Wouldn't eye relief on different optics such as a 3× prism sight also effect stock position? I know with my 3×prism I almost have to be right up on it. I believe the eye relief is 2-2&1/2 inches.
Depends how big you are and the barrel length. I have been testing different lengths with the butstock and actually all the way down feels more like an SBR and I have more control over it for rapid acquisition.
I thought for the aperture sight system to work properly the shooter's eye had to be, like, a couple of inches from the rear sight ring. That was the reason for the pistol grip. Is that true?
I like to shoot NTCH. How is he getting NTCH when the stock is all the way out? I would have to be a goose for me to get NTCH in that position. I like my buttstock 1 click, maybe 2 from fully collapsed. Whether that's right or wrong that's the only position that feels comfortable to me.

What if you're 6'5" and the maximum length is too short. Do you have a butt extension recommendation?
Nice video and info
Thank you. !! Tonight i can sleep real good without thinking where should my butt stock be at 🙂
Thanks for the tip.

Butt stock all the way extended still way too short, any suggestions?
Nice video, and a great measuring tip!
Who doesn't keep it full lenght? I don't have a plate carrier btw.
Nice easy tip thanks
Depends on my body armor
Thanks! Now I finally know how to adjust for my ar15
I get better control with a fully collapsed stock compared to any amount of extension but maybe that’s just me
