Ak…A 30 caliber bullet is a lot more useful plus the the design is robust and reliable. Something I can give to my son.
ak for war the only drawback is you have to take out the magazine . to where the magazine in an AR just drops out as you give it another. I would have to say for that reason there tied . either one

I'd take the AR for most things, the exception being inside vehicle work. you can't fold a buffer tube.
AK is like a toyota hilux. Indestructible and reliable
My sons 1st weapon I bought for him was an AK. Everyone kept telling me to buy an AR, he'll never be able to handle the AK. He was 13 and now hes in the Marines LAR firing up everything he can get his hands on. Never tell a Greek he cant do something. AK all the way, but you should learn how to clean an AR because when it all goes to hell, an AR will be the weapon you will pick up off someone.

5.56 Ak. And you’ll never need to look for spare parts and requires little to no maintenance. Foreign made preferebly
