U have bad ammo …this happened to me with me Sig AR10… the ammo is out of spec …it’s not the gun… the round won’t see in the chamber right because it’s out of spec… companies been pushing bad ammo lately…. Just try a different Ammo.

It’s really about the weather and you ready to Ridling the take that shot and on the angle cause you might be uphill somebody might be down they might be uphill. You might be downhill and like it’s all depending on the wind speed and not that good stuff like that.😅😊

Do not beat yourself up about it. The bear was low anyhow they say rifle bear said hi but yours is low and I just learned that too but with that optic yeah it’s gonna be zero damn but you really gotta know the barrel in the optic to do so much just know that though just really try and like think about it, take up on it OK😊

Try running Hornady Black 168gr rounds

When you received the rifle, did you clean and lubricate everything? The AR-10 platform can be funny acting during the first shots.

i have a sig sauer in 308 auto and i have never had any problems with it firing. i own a ranch her in texaxs and shoot hundreds of rounds a year

Get rid of the mag pul bipod. A real POS. Get yourself some shooting bags to help when you want get a solid position to sight in your rifle.

Some firearms for whatever reason are particular on there selection of ammo,so with that being said it may take a number of different brands of ammo before you find the sweet spot,that's an Awesome looking firearm excellent Christmas present, great video and way to hang in there past all those malfunctions,stay strong and be safe

Great content. I have the CMMG 16 inch resolute and love it. No issues but it does seem to prefer 168gr ammo for best accuracy thus far. Have only gotten it out to 300 yards but plan to visit a range that will let it stretch its legs a bit. I think 30 hate may be my new favorite round. Have a bolt action .308 as well.

I think the Dissent has an adjustable gas block which may let you adjust for different ammo. Looked like your ejection pattern was at about 2 o'clock which indicates it may be over gassed a bit. Once its broken in hopefully will run like a sewing machine.

Try this, when sitting place your left hand on your right shoulder and rest your chick on your arm. you should find yourself wiggling your back just to get comfortable. That means you got it.

When you’re ready try competing with your 308. I started using my SCAR17 in some 2 gun and rifle competitions and have hd a blast with it.I also just recently got my 1st LPVO and went with an Arken EP8. As I understood it their bullet drop compensator is set for a 50/200 yard zero with a 77gr round for 556 as that’s the version I got but you still may need to zero your optic. I also wound up adding an offset red dot for targets that are closer in. Have fun.

Great video. Yes its the ammo. I was having the same problem with cheaper ammo in my rifle. Try using a 36-yard zero and research what your hold overs will be for distance. Shout out to the man behind the camera…LOL

I wonder if part of the issue was the magazine, and the other part was lack of lubricantion?

Perhaps just a little tip.. don’t bang that magazine into its home..insert it until you hear a click. Sometimes forcing it will cause the magazine or rounds to not seat properly. I’m going to guess this is a brand new weapon that’s not been shot/broken in so I hope it’s well lubed until that occurs in 50-100 rounds. Great video.. scenarios are great learning and humbling events. 😎

The bolt needs a break in period. I recently had the same issues with the my new BR3 which has the same exact upper. If you get one of these before going out to the range take your BCG out and see if the bolt goes in and out freely. Oil it up and keep working it by hand. The little pin that rotates the bolt in the carrier needs to wear in. I think the coating on it made the dimensions inside that rotation channel tight. I made a video about it and I'll drop it soon. Look out for it if you need detailed explanation and fix for this.

I really like the way you show your malfunction and any issues you encounter vs. editing them out. Your videos will give beginning shooters more confidence by showing them how to troubleshoot and work through a problem. Keeping it real! And you are a Rock star my girl😍
