One thing folks forget about is your own night vision will be very affected by the brighter whiter light. So if you were just flashing it to quickly check something, when you turn it off you will be blinded for a longer time than you would with something like the Odin where the light is softer but still bright enough to dazzle an intruder.
I love and believe in Streamlight, but I have an Olight Javelot Mini Tac that is great.
My olight had trouble turning on and staying after about 600 rounds too
