  1. My two cents, if you plan on doing this, keep in mind that mounting mlok hardware requires you to give up a small amount of inner diameter as the mlok nut is on the inside. I went with a GP7 silencer on a 10.3" 300 blackout with an aero quad rail handguard so that I could mount a light to the picatinny without worrying about this. Obviously the silencer had to be pinned and welded because of stupid rules.

  2. 2:30 Me talking to buddy about guns: “Yeah, I’ve got a really small and short package and it looks really cool.”
    Person overhearing my conversation: 😂
Seriously though, I tried a well made suppressor ready handguard made by a well known manufacturer (not UTG) and it added too much weight so I switched back to a regular handguard that only allows about 0.5” of barrel to show and it’s still very manageable for CQB.

  3. I don't think there was any discussion about the barrel nut.

I try to get the rail and the barrel not together as a package so I know they will fit each other.

Try to avoid Barrel nuts that need to be timed in order to accommodate the gas tube… or you have to worry about Barrel Shimes in a gap between the upper receiver and the rail.

  4. Guess I lucked out… while I am not permitted by my state to own a suppressor I do use surefire warden blast forward devices. And I just installed one on my Saint Victor 308 from Springfield and achieved the "look" without having to buy a new handguard. yay for dumb luck 🙂

  5. Cant wait to run this on my AR. I have a few tucked handguard already, but this look nice. A little note on the suppressors shadowing. You also need to take in consideration on how you mount the light some Mlok mounting screws are to long and will hit/scratch the suppressor. Just food for thought even though is a longer handguard it may not solve the problem completely.
