The Angstadt Arms Prophet is a game-changer in AR-15 suppressor innovation, featuring the patented BarrelThrough technology. This system allows the suppressor to slide entirely over your AR-15 barrel, resulting in zero added length to the firearm. This revolutionary design provides unmatched maneuverability while maintaining exceptional sound suppression. The Prophet includes a 6.5-inch suppressor, fully integrated for compatibility with most standard AR-15 setups. Perfect for shooters seeking enhanced performance and compact configurations. Catch the Prophet in action at SHOT Show 2025.

  1. I would assume that it would be louder than a regular suppressor but the question is how much quieter?
The other question is how is the velocity affected by it? How does it compare to having a short barrel with a suppressor vs a long barrel without?

  2. Well fuck, this might be my very first can…

Keep OAL down with custom barrel without stamp or sacrificing ballistics? Check

Reduced back pressure so less cancer? Check

Fits all the way up to 46 cal so I can throw this on PCCs? Check

Can does everything I need it to tbh

  3. Any numbers on velocity differences between a standard 16 inch and the intergrally suppressed barrel? And do you HAVE to use the suppressor in the video? Or will any standard threaded suppressor work – because this with a dedicated 5.56 AB Suppressor could be crazy quiet

I would also love to see this across a wide spectrum of calibers

  4. It’s great to see new solutions to the problem that is the ATF/NFA, and also sad how much “innovation” revolves solely around circumventing these unconstitutional regulations.

  5. 1) This seems like a slightly better done version of those old retro rifle pin and welds on 11.5" barrels, emphasis on slightly 2) if you're going through all this trouble why not have a changeable end cap? You could have it be 223 diameter (hell maybe even have it interface with end of the barrel) to get better suppression instead of having the worst of both worlds

  6. So, saving $200 on a second tax stamp is cool and all, but this would be seriously cool if you could achieve the muzzle velocity closer to a 16 inch barrel, while still maintaining the short 11.5-esque length, all while maintaining tuned back pressure, close to zero. I think that’s what the common user would love.

People keep positing that .300 Blackout would better for this, but if they could achieve greater than 11.5” velocities, then 5.56mm in this application would be more than warranted! 5.56mm is exponentially more prevalent and it’s notably less expensive than .300 Blackout for the common user.

  7. That suppressor concept is rad. Super interested to see how it works overall with different options like can it take the bigger rifle rounds like the 338 or 8.6 or others just fine too? Also very curious how it sounds or how that barrel plays without the can

  8. People have been doing this in the UK with 'long barreled pistols' as they have to have a 12" barrel so previously they always had a fake silencer. Now you can get them with the barrel ported so it's silencer actually functions.

  9. Be always wondered why integral suppressors always had short barrels, this concept has been in my head like a “why doesn’t everyone just make holes in the barrel with a suppressor that goes around it?”

I’m sure there’s some already out there but this is not a standard as it should be.. and multi barrel compatibility is awesome
