I had an H and R in the Army. A lower. I think it had the Colt upper. It said AR 15 or XM 15 or something. This was in 1979 or 80..

This is the weapon I was originally trained with and I have fired nearly 1 million rounds through 4 of these weapons in my liftime.

Did they possibly make this weapon because they were transporting nuclear material and didn't want the rounds to be over penetrative and possibly puncture something dangerous and Radioactive instead of just dangerous
