Bushmaster XM15-E2S

Bought almost the same X15 in 2004 soon as the ban was lifted. Mine has the stubby buttstock. Though it’s a .223 I’ve bed. Firing 5.56 through it since the day I bought it.

I have the original stripped upper carry handle reciever, buttstock, handguard, grip, and buffer spring tube and weight from my bushmaster build if you or anyone else is interested in it

Awesome rifle and I already ordered the bayonet.

i had two BMs, seqjential s/n. Guns so far out of spec BCGs wouldnt work ( no BANG ) if they were swapped.
Chambers cut too short, etc.

only PSA was worse.

I don’t think bayonets were technically used on those similar models in service. I’d like to get that bayonet for an M4 or M16 though. It’s hard finding one in stock that I actually like.

I have a Windham made Bushmaster HBAR with A1 C7 cary handle upper that I absolutely love! I put a Primary Arms 2.5x Slx Prism scope on it that mounts directly to the carry handle and is canted further back for better eye relief and it’s the perfect scope for the rifle! I also added a CMC 3.5 single stage flat trigger, Trijicon replacement front post night sight, Magpul SL K stock and grip, Magpul Bad lever and extended mag release, Magpul MS3 Sling and QD end plate, full auto profile bolt carrier and a Spikes Tactical heavy Tungsten buffer which fixed the massive over gassing and gave it a perfect 3-4 o’clock ejection pattern! I’m running the original slim hand guards and mounted a pre mlok Magpul pic rail through the factory holes on the bottom by removing the heat shield and putting them back after! Then I mounted a Streamlight TLR-1 HP for the retro maglight look and it has a super long bright throw! It’s has become one of my favorite rifles and I also have a Windham flat top setup almost exactly the same but with a Centurion Arms Mlok cutout rail and a 1-8x Acss scope! People talk alot of crap on Bushmaster but mine have held up great over the years!

I actually had a pre-ban Bushmaster carbine like this, around 1993. Great shooter and very fun. I put on one of the AK74 muzzle breaks on it and it smoothed it out nicely. In the 1990s, the saying was "Bushmaster Beats Colt". This was from Bushmaster taking the Marine Corps rifle contracts away from Colt, because Bushmaster was so obviously better than Colt.

I've got one, an early one. Has the gov profile 16" barrel with a true A2 flash hider.
I also put a pic-rail on the carry handle with a 4× scope. I can get about 2" groups at 100, I'll probably get a LPVO soon so I can get a little better magnification!

If the muzzle device is part of the barrel, how did they manage the front sight block 🤔. Genuinely curious about that.

A little off subject But I wanted to buy another ar 15 for the range. I was looking at the radical firearms or the Anderson. Which one would you all buy?

I was given that same bushmaster upper from a retired deputy Sheriff buddy he said they were retiring them out for new stuff and were giving them away but throwing away aka cutting up the lowers. they had tons of them he took 8 of them and gave me one it runs awesome!!! And has history marks aka beauty marks lol from being in a patrol car for 20+ years.i love the old bushmaster/pre freedom group AR"s
