  1. AKs (at least old ones, the last few generations have been pieces of crap) are hardier, more reliable guns, plus 7.62 is a punchier round than what you'd get in any AR that isn't a super-specialized designer rifle (the one thing i'll give ARs is the modularity, it's a very diverse platform that people have done a ton of different things to), not to mention the aesthetics – i'm a diehard wood & steel supremacist, i hate plastic guns, but even if that wasn't the case like for the AK12 i just like the design of it way more

  2. Go watch “The Vietnam War” by Ken Burns… Veteran John Musgrave said it best… “The enemies rifles worked, ours didn’t… The M-16 was a piece of schit”… Yes… modern-day AR’s aren’t “M-16’s”, but the operating system is the same…. I own 2, but they get dirty immediately…

  3. When people ask what's the difference between the AK and the AR its not all these obvious points you are making here. Those who are new to milotary rifles want to know if the calibers interchange, is one better than the other, which one would we choose, etc. No newbie can understand what was just rattled off in this vid.

  4. full auto mode in AK-47 has it on the middle. Because you need to choose when u wanna use it. In stressed engagment it is Easy to shoot everything Quickly and ruin your day.

  5. Ar15:
    Lighter
    More penetration
    Better protected sights
    Lighter ammo
    Heavily customizable
    Shit load of features
Better safety switch keeping your finger on the trigger while cycling to a different fire mode.

    Ak47:
    Heavily reliable in bad enviroment
    Bigger but slower bullets
    Usually more mag capacity
    Heavier
Exposed gas tube (not a bad thing)
    More sight settings

If i missed anything sorry but im not an Ak guy, for me an Ak is pretty trash. No hate towards Ak guys.
