M223 SVN (223) was new to Stagecoach Transit in 1995 and operated from Stockton depot for 4 years till being transferred to Stagecoach in Hull.
In 2010 it was withdrawn by Stagecoach and disposed off to Ensignbus (dealer) where it was passed to an independent Red Kite, Leighton Buzzard whom operated her for nearly a decade.
The Teesside 500 Group approached Red Kite in 2019 and successfully purchased her and she returned home and was shown in two rallies in ‘acquired condition’ awaiting restoration.
During 2020 she was given a full external restoration, regaining her iconic green, white and yellow Transit livery, with the authentic ‘Part of the Stagecoach Group’ strapline.
Captured here at Northern National Restoration Group Spooktacular Halloween event just before it goes out on a run to Penshaw Monument.
We also capture on this video the very clean interior and seating as we hear the engine building up its air tanks prior to service.
