I like all the options but i find it difficult to move away from the surefire ecosystem.

I absolutely agree on the Streamlight HL-X pro and the Nightstick being awesome lights for value. I'd have to say though I'd take the Modlite PLHV2 or the Cloud Rein Over Surefire for my expensive light. The reach from the high candela is just superior.
