I’ve heard it said that it is velocity that stabilizes the bullet , which suggest the 77gr you shot in the 10.5” barrel , hadn’t reached enough velocity for best stability. The 55 grain did reach a stabilizing velocity and grouped well . I don’t even shoot 40 grain bullets , but they might get higher velocity and even group better than the 55 gr.
