CMMG BR4 Dissent // The Ban-Proof 48 State Rifle! You'll Want it in FREE States Too!

YOU guys told me I needed to check it out, so I got CMMG to send me one of three BR4 Dissent rifles in 5.56. Holy Crap is this thing a sweet-shooting, low-recoil rifle! Although it’s a 48 state legal rifle, you might find out it’s one of the coolest rifles you own. It’s in my top 5 favorite rifles… a nice alternative to the stacks of ARs on the market these days.

  1. Actually like the looks of this one, kinda reminds me of some of the older blocky shaped shotguns of the past . Definitely like the charge handle over the standard AR style rifles. Little pricey, but looks like something worth saving up for.

  2. Great video! Definitely like your message about cleaning up!
I try to allocate at least an extra hour at any informal public range for picking up after the lazy slobs have left their trash. (Bring trash bags) If everyone leaves the shooting ranges better than they found it, it would always be clean. Another point is don’t shoot tracers unless it’s been raining for many days, don’t shoot if sparks can cause a fire, and don’t use living trees as a backstop.

  3. If I didn't already have 3 ARs I might be interested. CMMG is a good build and that rifle looks like no exception. I would like to see a bench rest accuracy test… will she shoot MOA groups or better? I'm also a fan of longer barrels so I'd have to see if they offer a 20" barrel or if they quit at 16".

  4. Using the Remington 870 Magpul stock is an interesting choice. Great ergonomics on those shotgun stocks IMO. Plus, since I don't know if the 870 sells like it used to, I'm guessing Magpul had a surplus of those stocks so it probably worked in CMMGs favor.

  5. with all these "ranch rifles" these days, I give states like CA, NY, NJ, MA, CT etc no more than 1 year before they "wake up" and do what IL and WA did and ban all autoloading rifles. Thank god I moved from CT to NH!!!

  6. Awesome. Thanks for the review. I got mine in black, and of course 5.56 to use my stockpile of California Freedom Week mags. Love this gun. All my CA ARs are now just range toys. This is now my primary fighting rifle. Looking forward to your Br3 review!

  7. I am a member of 2 sportsman's clubs, and pick up yo shit is the most common message. They put up signs, send emails, and people still can't manage to police their brass. But then, some of us just end up with more reloading brass. This rifle might be a go to in my state if Walz has his way. Though, it is a semi auto, so it may not pass muster if he get his way.
