Smooth bore or rifled???
You never shoot rifle slugs in a rifled barrel always shoot sabots..
If you ever want to shoot some hogs with that Bad Boy I’ve got plenty of them! Just need to wait until after deer season. What kind of camo job is that?
There you go now JUST buy the brand of those last 3 slugs you shot accurately for that gun !!!!
My H&R 12ga. loves Lightfields
The light field slugs I use in my 20 gauge are yellow… I couldn’t help but notice yours are red, which is typically reserved for 12 gauge shells???
Easier to keyhole when your shooting a .73 (12 gauge) !
Looks like a fine shoot-I have a bid in for one at the moment.
I was given a H&R Topper Model 88 with a modified barrel. Can slugs be shot out of that?
I've had one of these guns for a few years now and have only shot 3" shells out of it and really haven't been impressed with the accuracy. Do the 2-3/4 shells shoot better in you alls experience? I've tried Federal Trophy Copper and Rem. Accutips.
That will get the job done..I used an H&R for yrs..Retired Larry …
Those 3" Lightfields sure shoot nice!
Lightfields are my slug of choice. The 2-3/4" EXP's shoot nice, tight groups and hit like a freight train.
I shot a big doe at over 130 yards (with a little hold over) and she barely went 60 yards after the shot.
If anyone is in the market for a new H&R contact me i have a brand new one for sale
So… I stumbled upon this video and I'm a little confused. This video was recorded after the external camera mount was removed and you shot two completely different types of slugs… are you trying to say removing an external device increased the accuracy of the gun ? I see nothing more than two different slug loads being shot and the second load far exceeded the first. I'm trying to figure out where the external camera mount comes in to play with the guns accuracy.
I’ve got two of those ultra slug 20’s & I shoot Litefields out of em both with the same results. I bought the one when they first came out & have dropped over 100 deer with it easy, my longest was a 8 point mature buck at 174 yards high shoulder shot , he went about 3’ and that was straight down. My second gun I bought as soon as I caught wind of them discontinuing the production. They are the best slug gun I’ve ever used over my 40 year Whitetail deer 🦌 career, my buddy has the same in a 12ga and it’s a cannon, one more note, they made them in an “Ultra Light” model too but no where near as accurate as the heavy barrels. Good Shooting
Great slug accuracy video, Thanks
Lightfield slug would be the same hole at over 100yards.
Hang on too them because they are no longer made…..😧
We used Remington Accu Tips 😁
To bad federal got rid of the barns expanders my 980 ultra really shot tight groups with 3/4oz 2 3/4 would blow the center out at 100yds I had the round dailed for holdover 6" at 150yds 9"at 170yds and 18"at 200yds perfect
Is this a rifled barrel or smooth bore?
did u switch guns because u used 20 gauge slugs first and then red slugs
Try this again only this time allow the barrel to cool for 30 minutes in between shooting.
Find a spent slug and find out if the slug engaged the rifling. I really want to know.
Damn! good shooting on 2nd round.
