Budget friendly AR-15 upgrades for the rifle owner. Many budget friendly AR-15 upgrades are nice to have but I consider a few of the upgrades to be 100% necessary.

  1. I've had experience with the AR platform for decades– As a lefty I can say an ambi-charging handle was life changing…
I recommend the Aero Breach– got mine for less than $60 as a blem off their web site. But I've heard of people finding them for less than that, now

  2. Anyone that says a castle but shouldnโ€™t be staked, buys BS Bear shits in the creek Arsenal.

Even people that buy PSA, even PSA stakes their castle nuts (my triggers worth as much as a BCA rifle-just another snub to stupid people).

Years ago, I had a castle nut back off my 556 krink with a folder and buffer tube. Because I didnโ€™t pay attention and stake it. Itโ€™s an AK so itโ€™s not integral to function like an AR (another snub-sorry not sorry).

  3. ….a good budget rifle people forget about is Del-Ton, for me anyway. I have 3-4000 rds through it with 0 issues. In fact it seems to shoot tighter the more rounds I put through it. Good for $500 IMO.

  4. Your forgot a heavier buffer spring. Alot of low end rifles are over gassed. Putting a slightly heavier spring like the Sprinco Red White spring really helps it shoot smoother. Also a muzzle break and trigger are must upgrades in my opinion. A comfy grip like ERGO is really nice too.
