In this video I talk about how I would modify a CTR Adjustable stock into a fixed stock for a subscriber of mine who lives in a paranoid, anti gun state. Thanks for watching guys. Please rate, leave a comment, and subscribe.

  1. Hi

Are there any kits/modifications that would allow me to increase the length of the adjustable stock on the S&W M&P 15 . I need another 2 – 4 inches. The issue is when I am shooting, the slight recoil pushes my ear protectors up. I usually have to adjust them every other shot.

  2. Tell your friend to just buy the kit that pins the magazine in the magwell, and he can have anything he wants on the gun. They make ā€œside loadersā€ that is a stripper clip that you can quickly reload through the ejection port. Theyā€™re fairly cheap.

  3. No need to drill a hole. The lever that allows adjustment pushes against a pin that lifts the locking mechanism out of the buffer tube. If you twist the pin and pull it out the stock is fixed in place. Just replace the pin to adjust it.

    Don't drill your stock!!!!!!!

  4. I live in NJ, the no fun gun state. I just finished all the paperwork and fingerprinting to get my FID card so I've been looking into how to go about getting an ar15 that doesn't look like ass. Purchasing a compliant ar15 is out of the question because I'm not paying extra money for a shit rifle. The route I've decided to go is buying a complete upper and modifying it to be legal, then buying a complete lower with a pistol grip but the stock removed to prevent shipping complications and then just buy a fixed stock.

New Jersey doesn't allow an adjustable stock, pistol grip, threaded barrel with muzzle brake, foregrip and has a 15 round limit. According to the way the law is written, ONE illegal part is legal (LOL), but 2 illegal parts makes it an assault weapon. I want the pistol grip to be the one illegal part and since you made this video I'm good stock-wise, but I need to find a way to make the threaded barrel with muzzle brake "permanent". Any ideas such as soldering or even bondo that would work?

TL:DR; How can I make a muzzle brake permanently attached to a barrel? Sorry for the novel, any help is appreciated though!

  5. ATTENTION ALL MAGPUL CTR & MOE OWNERS WHO ARE LOOKING TO PIN YOUR STOCK:
Zero cost, drill one hole, that simple. Just remove the roll pin holding the plunger assembly. Remove spring and cross bar. Re-insert plunger into stock attached to buffer tube and position length to where you want to pin. Rotate plunger 90 degrees, to where pre-drilled hole at bottom of plunger lines up to any side of stocks roll pin hole, firmly re-insert the roll pin to hold plunger in place. Flip the stock over and use 3/32 drill bit inserted into the roll pin hole to drill hole into the other side of the plunger. Once hole is drilled, remove roll pin from other side and tap roll pin into the hole just drilled to pin the plunger in place. Done.
    Worst case scenario buy new roll pin (3/32 x 3/4) $.50 – $. 60.

  6. I'm currently working on a build, similar to the rifle you have there. Would you mind doing a quick overview of the set-up/color scheme or link another video it may be in?

    Thanks!

  7. How do you change a fixed stock to an adjustable one? Obviously I have a MA compliant AR-15, but I don't plan on living in MA forever. I would like to know how to remove the pin/screw making it fixed so I can make it adjustable again.

  8. Thanks, but its only 1 feature now in my state. So it seems I need to fix the stock, attach some kind of silly California grip ( like the monster man grip) and have the barrel caped so the threads cannot be used. I wonder if I permanently attached a fake can or barrel shroud over the threads, would that be ok? I don't know is a fake can considered to be a feature? Who knows…lolĀ

  9. Do any of you fine folks know where I can get an adjustable stock for a SAM7R – a double tanged milled receiver. Id rather not have to cut the heck outta the rifle either

  10. Sean Yunt,
Not alwaze… however, bare in mind that even free states having an AR slung can land you in hot water. There's a man in Texas who is currently going through the court system for hiking with his AR slung.
