Vaguely reminds me of the British trials of the Webley Mk.IV vs the 1911. The mag had to be loaded after the trial started, concurrent to simply loading the revolver cylinder. After a while, it became obvious that mags would be loaded before combat, and that it would become a negligible factor, especially if Germany already had Lugers and so on.
