The circle dot is great for close shooting quickly. Bottom edge of the circle can help estimate offset.

NV and magnifiers. If you want an optic that's great for NV and a great do all package, then get an Eotech.
The vortex holographic is cheaper
I bought mine because I like the holdovers. I hate having to guess with a red dot.
Up close, sub 50 yards, I think a red dot is just fine. It will work! But it helps with the guess work for me. I hate the price tag though
Rugged and NV compatible
At my skill level I cant justify the money.
If you want passive night performance, Eotech can't be beat. The large window, 9 NV settings, and excellent glass make Eotechs the best passive NV performer.

Also how it works with non perfect alignment. Parallax is extremely forgiving compared to a red dot. Also, quality control.
