Wow, the 300BLK caliber really has strong recoil. I don't know if you have any ballistic gelatin shooting videos, well, I haven't checked if you have any videos on your list yet haha. Otherwise, I think it would be interesting to fire a few shots and see the impact and penetrating power and the damage it could do to a target with the muscle density of the human body. This could see the size of the wound cavity caused by the bullet's shock wave. Well, here in Brazil it is difficult to find and obtain this type of material for shooting tests, it is restricted to the police only. Even with my cousin who was an army sniper, he can't do it. Maybe you can get this in the US, otherwise I know how to make one that looks a lot like the jello used by forensic officers. You really can't compare to a professional, but you can take advantage and do some shot tests. Preparation is very simple.
You will need:
– 250 ml of water
– 24 grams of colorless, flavorless gelatin
– 100mL of double-distilled glycerin
Preparation method:
Put the water to boil;
Once boiled, turn off the heat and add the colorless gelatin and glycerin, stir well until it becomes a homogeneous mixture;
Grease a container with oil or lubricant and add the mixture;
Wait for it to cool slightly and refrigerate for 12 hours.
If you want a large quantity for a larger container, increase the proportion of the recipe.
Note: Glycerin is what gives the gelatin its rigid consistency, I didn't do this test, but if you add more glycerin perhaps the gelatin will have a stronger rigid structure.
