Ive seen it happen too many times when i go out in the field or range for casual shooting and somebody presses the on button of an Eotech and nothing happens. Not a risk im gonna take. They are good optics though.
FOV is irrelevant for daytime shooting, because you're super imposing the dot into your offhand eye and looking around the optic. It's hard to train around, but eventually it becomes second nature.
We've had 3-4 EOTechs break on us. Over time with no impacts the nitrogen just leaked out. This makes the reticle disappear if it isn't in the exact center of the field of view. We've never seen an aimpoint break, no matter what happens to them. That's what made our whole group switch to Aimpoint, or Holosun.
Sig 8t you get 100,000 hours of battery life,, shake wake,, 10 days time and 3 NV brightness settings.. you can change the reticle to a dot,, circle dot,, dots with holds and a circle dot with holds… oh and it’s like 650 bucks… Although, it’s a touch blocky but it’s really nice.. oh and it’s waterproof Ipx 8 rating and it’s fog proof oh and it’s got a titanium shroud,, I’m sure im forgetting something else lol

FOV in optics doesn’t matter, window size sometimes counts but the number 1 tip to get more FOV is to open 2 eyes lmfao

What do you use to record this pov?
The Elcan Spectre 1×4 is great as well.
Heavy+Expensive but great FOV. 👍
EoTech all day! Just bring some batteries with me inside the pistol grip and a couple more inside the Sopmod stock just in case.👍
Eotech for NV
Aimpoint for everything else
I own both. I love both. I switch them out after every range trip.
eotech for cqb, aimpoint for edc
They need a red and a green pecker and balls. Itll help you point better
hate the blue lenses of aimpoints
Eotechs just look so stupid
Have the EXPS3, maybe i need a second upper with a Aimpoint on it!
I like the HK.
They are both great options
Eotech
Neither I can’t afford them and I have astigmatism 😂

holosun AEMS 🙂
Did you pour motor oil into the action or dunk the BCG in it?
It comes down to looks for me 😭
I’ll stick with my Romeo 4t-pro
Window size is kind of irrelevant with red dots. Both eyes open, target focus!

Never had either. I guess eotech that's the one I've heard more about
Eotech by a mile, 36 yd zero and it can be used for range estimation. Plus I’m not too poor and lazy to change a battery
1p87
Love my T2 would be willing to try an Eotech
Eotech is better
AR15 need EOTech to do what AK can do naturally (aim and react in close quarter)
Both are very good, but I still want an elcan
Have you ran either of them with a Magnifier?
I wish eotech was rechargeable
I have to replace my red dot. The dot is soooo trash.
The eotech is probably the best But.Their battery life is literally trash. That's why I prefer the red dot It's definitely for a rich military.
Laughing in acog 😂
Just paying for a name
EOTECH is cooler, but Aimpoint is more practical.

Neither I have astigmatism
Holosun 512c
aimpoint T1 and far forward to get a better FOV.
Have both and it's a toss up.
Like you said, bigger window on the EoTech but battery life goes to the Aimpoint.
Both are rugged enough to last.
Aimpoint or eotech? Primary arms please and thank you 😤
