My screw doesn’t fit. It sits flush where my nut can’t fit.

Dude this video is such B.S. and downright misleading. I paid my hard earned $80 for this garbage. 2 trips into the woods and have nearly dropped my firearm 3 times now. Every time the QDM was securely fastened for quite awhile before one of the QDM's disconnected. Typically I'm carrying the weapon single point at the QD mount below the buffer tube. One of the times I was carrying it 2 point connected to the hand guard and stock. That time it almost hit the ground because it was over my back, disconnected at the stock, I felt the strap let go and start to slip and reached back before it hit dropped in the crick.
I thoroughly examined the sling to inspect for issues and have attempt to duplicate the issue. I came back to this video to see the description and it clearly states that at 0:22…."once installed, pushing or pulling one lever will not release the QDB". This is patently false and it's actually quite easy to disconnect the QDM with light pressure on one side. Doesn't matter if it's connected to my a Magpul QD mount, the Daniel Defense QD mount below the buffer, or the sling QD point itself. It only takes slight pressure on one side to disconnect it. Check it out for yourself if you have one in hand. The QDM buttons on the sides are one solid piece. They don't move independently of one another. Because they're on the sides of the mount vs the back like a traditional QD, they release quite easy and can lead to a firearm being dropped. To me it's a safety hazard.
My assumption at this point is that the QDM button is pressing against the gun, my jacket, or something else and causing the disconnect. Really pisses me off. See video here for a true representation of how it disconnects.
What mount do I need for a picitiny rail ?
I love Magpul
Nice
Actually $80
Over 30 dollers after tax u have to be joking. i hate all these companies who over price these tiny metal parts that i can guarentee mass produced cost less than 5 dollers to make. Ill bet at even 9.99 it would sell but 30 no thank u.
Yet when i bought the Magpul MS4 i get normal QD mounts.. :/
Will this work on the ACS-L stock?
@MAGPUL I just purchased the MS4 sling and the ASAP-QD. Major problem; this sling won't hold my rifle. The QD is either not attaching or something else is not to spec. These are brand new parts. Any ideas?
Until Magpul starts making their MS1-MS4 Single Point QD Adapter with this QDM, it's a novelty that even they don't believe in. You have to wonder why their MS4 slings with QD only come with the usual, oval QD swivel.
If you have a ctr stock, this is the qd you need, the normal oval ones don't fit right
did you see that rail on the bottom of the buttstock at the end? WTF?
Will you be making an updated MS4 sling with QDM swivels sewn in?
The unique dual slider release system works especially well in transitioning a dual mode sling from 1 point to 2 point. With the QDM the release is a natural movement (not a combined push pull with a regular QD). The QDM also instinctively repositions the hand for positive reinsertion under stress (a regular QD requires a thumb on the button to insert which means a sling reposition to gain access to the button).
i love everything magpul makes for the most part and the prices, but this is fucking insane for a QD swivel, sorry thats wayyyyy too over priced for that.
