A number of firearm related bills are on the move in the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature, including permit-to-purchase repeal and arming school faculty members. Legislators need to hear from you to keep the momentum!
Eligible for Vote in the Judiciary Committee:
Legislative Bill 883 repeals the Nebraska’s firearm permit-to-purchase requirement. Expediency is more important than ever when it comes to the right of self-defense. This legislation was previously heard in the Judiciary Committee and will soon be voted on. Please use the Take Action button below to contact members of the committee and ask them to SUPPORT LB 883.

Both LB 925 and LB 1339 have passed out of committee and are eligible for votes on the floor as early as next week. Use the Take Action button below to contact your senator and urge them to support these important measure!
Legislative Bill 925, a bill to adopt the FIND Act at the state level, recently passed out of committee. LB 925 prohibits public contracts with individuals or companies that are boycotting certain industries, including those that engage in or support the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms. This bill would require those who contract with the state to disclose if their policies discriminate against the firearms industry.
Legislative Bill 1339, a bill to change provisions relating to possession of firearms in schools allowing teachers and staff the ability to carry on school grounds, was passed out of the Senate Education Committee. The bill also allows for off-duty or retired law enforcement personnel to carry firearms on school grounds.
