Steel core green tip is standard issue ball ammo! It’s not meant to penetrate anything serious! It’s got a steel core to give it better ballistics at longer rangers and help stabilize it in heavier wind! Only BLACK TIP is real armor penetrating!

Depends on who makes the mags. Some companies don’t temper their plastic well

The thing that wears magazines out is repeated use, as the springs get compressed and decompressed over and over again. Sitting loaded puts no wear on them, as you just saw for yourself.
