  1. Tip of the chevron is close contact tip of red post “crotch of chevron” is 300 and as you said for the rest. You’re not raising to the stars to shoot lol. 800 meters your def past max effective range for most weapons of the 5.56 range 7.62 could be 850+

  2. A LOT more precise if instead of using the chevron on the shoulders you use the top tip of the red illuminated line on the drop tree. Only time i ever use the chevron is inside the chevron for 200m and tip of chevron for 50m-100m. At 25m you are once again returning to the tip of that red line (for your zero)

  3. No, just no, you dont aim below things close up. Bullets dont travel in straight paths. You actually still have to aim above stuff because with a 100 zero everything under 100 the bullet will still below the line ofnsight of the optic because the barrel is below the optic to start

  4. "Aim down at close range to hit the target."

Dude is forgetting about height-over-bore, in which at extreme close range for an acog, your point of aim is going to have to be higher to compensate for that height difference between the sight and the bore of the barrel. I don't think this guy's been shooting too many times.
