Crosshair reticle is better for more precise shots. I’ve always thought the Chevron and horseshoe reticles can often conceal much of the target you’re trying to score a hit against.
Tip of the chevron is close contact tip of red post “crotch of chevron” is 300 and as you said for the rest. You’re not raising to the stars to shoot lol. 800 meters your def past max effective range for most weapons of the 5.56 range 7.62 could be 850+
A LOT more precise if instead of using the chevron on the shoulders you use the top tip of the red illuminated line on the drop tree. Only time i ever use the chevron is inside the chevron for 200m and tip of chevron for 50m-100m. At 25m you are once again returning to the tip of that red line (for your zero)
No, just no, you dont aim below things close up. Bullets dont travel in straight paths. You actually still have to aim above stuff because with a 100 zero everything under 100 the bullet will still below the line ofnsight of the optic because the barrel is below the optic to start
Dude is forgetting about height-over-bore, in which at extreme close range for an acog, your point of aim is going to have to be higher to compensate for that height difference between the sight and the bore of the barrel. I don't think this guy's been shooting too many times.

Wow! Am I the only one that thought the tip of the chevron was what you use? Not the shoulder part of it but the actual tip of the ^

moronic expression
By “literally lifting your scope all the way into the air” he really means about 2-4° depending on cartridge and barrel length.
Im glad you explained that. was having trouble getting use to the acog. that eye relief tho
TM 9-1240-416-13&P
Operator and Field Maintenance Manual for the M150 Sight, Rifle Combat Optic (RCO).
It covers zeroing and aiming procedures.
Goodson don't aim below the target up close wtf you talking about
tell me you're clueless without telling me…..
A cogs have multiple different radicals, depending on the model not just the Chevron
Please stick to video games

I’ve never needed to aim my ACOG down when clearing rooms >5m never had any issues with “hearts and minds”
It's probably different for different barrel lengths and cartridges.

"Aim down at close range to hit the target."

Do a review on the Canadian C79 scope reticle, it's very simple but I like it
The eotech vudu 1-10 is my fav
Don’t forget not all Acogs have this reticle. Some have a cross hair and others have a circle dot and some have the acss
Theres a reason why theres iron sights or rmr on top of acogs many times….or you can just get an elcan spectre
