hey on your meprolight m21 triangle reticle, did you have any noticeable "blooming" or "bursting?" I just bought one, and my reticle, indoors, blooms like crazy
Gee, this is old video. Sold both and got ITL MARS, then sold it too. Of all three, I prefer EOTech, seconed closely by MARS and Mepro trailing far behind. EOTech has best reticle for fast shooting, as well as precision dot if you need accuracy. MARS is very good but dot is sometimes too small for fast acquisition. Mepro is too dark for anything but daylight, also has problem when aiming from shadows to bright light (reticle is too dim).
is that a genuine 512 or a replica? if so what make is it?
@stevenxowens792 The M21 is the issue sight for the IDF. If you do an image search for IDF soldiers, you will see photos of M21s that have no finish left and are battered that are still in use.
@andromedarr At very close ranges, you will experience parallax on any reflex sight. At very close ranges the Parallax is not detrimental (a 1/4" change in point of impact at 5 meters will not hurt). They are parallax free at anything other than very close range. If the curtains were at 15 or 20 meters from the sights, you would not see the parallax. If you contact me I can explain parallax to you.
@MakoDefense Well, if you aim right (so if you focus on your target) you wont have paralax on the eotech.
@andromedarr All holosights have parallax. Parallax-free is a marketing term. The trick is to build the sight so that the parallax appears at very close ranges, and longer ranges are parallax-free. At 15 meters, parallax will not cause a significant change in point of impact, while at 150 meters it would. At a few feet, parallax will be noticeable in any optic that cannot be adjusted for the range.
The parallax you see in both of those sights is due to the very short range to the curtain.
I wanted to ask since it's been several years since you posted the video. How is the mepro 21 holding up? I was thinking of the mepro21 with battle sight. Thanks for your time, StevenX
What are the differences between Mepro 21-I 12 QR and Mepro 21-I 5.5 QR?
And how much did you bought yours, any chance of selling them?
That is no holo sight. Holosights dont have Paralax, but this one has some
@themadicewarrior – well, that's the magic of poor camera, compression and Internet streaming. Still a triangle in real life 😉
Is that really a 12 moa triangle??? It looks like a circle…
Most of the new mepro's have the bullseye reticle
thank you. That answered all my questions right off the bat in 24 seconds.
