Great comment. I saw this advice given on a website, and I tentatively tried it, and there was no way that barrel was going in checking other places, I saw very clearly that a propane torch very quickly, five seconds or five rotations, or not significantly more than that should be more than enough to easily slipknot.
BCM blem uppers are awesome! No shimming or green loctite. Good video. After the upper receiver cools, with the barrel installed. If ya can't pull them apart , means your good to go.
Your information is to the point and very accurate. The Best advice and hard to find information on the AR I have found on the internet. Very much appreciated and best part of all is no B.S. Keep them coming!
Another great video! My first BCM upper to Ballistic Advantage barrel was a real pain. Yes I was fooled into believing freezing the barrel would work and I even warmed the upper up in an oven. It wasn't until I used a torch it slipped right on.

I have 5 of these. Hoping I can seat them quickly
What grease would you advise for the barrel?

He makes everything so easy, doesn't he?
Always torch. I didn’t know about the thermal fit the first time so I actually stuck an old birdcage on the muzzle and tapped it in.
Which works.. but you best have that damn index pin lined up right! 😂
Thanks for the info. I am struggling with this currently but don't own a torch. Can someone point me to the best cheap one that's usable? Thanks!
Can I ask what manufacturer and model of torch you’re using?

I had to do the same thing to one of their QRF rails too.
