  1. Eotech is a legend for a reason. And it’s not a hype, the optic is worth the price because that’s what it costs to make it and some profit on top. My recommendation is to save up money and buy the type of gear you really want, even if it takes several years. Having said that, do you all know how good iron sights really are? They are great when you learn them. Go with irons and master that while saving for the optic you truly want.

  2. Aim point just made a new duty optic that’s $500 for an amazing red dot. Not cheap but also not ridiculously expensive really. I’m running the Romeo 5, I barely go out and shoot but it gets the job done so far.

  3. I mean typically your optic (depending on what it is. Is gonna be about the same price of the gun or 2x as much (less if your just a giga chad with unlimited budget on your rifle) its what allows you to make hits on targets accurately. Expensive in almost all cases is gonna be better than budget when it comes to optics imho. Also usually the higher go in price the better warranty and customer support you get for the product.
When comparing high end LVPOs i feel like deciding factor ends up coming down to what battery last longer since they all typically suck in that department.

  4. I've got a monstrum 1-6 LPVO I use it for hunting and general use. I love the thing. I don't have a ton of money and I wanted something that wasn't gonna lose zero it bumped or dropped and gave me more options then a red dot while not costing more then my rifle. The monstrum did just that and I'll b buying more of their gear.

  5. For anyone reading these comments I will say I wish I would have bought an arken Long range EP for scope a long time ago I always hesitate when I hear sponsors but that reticle is literally exactly what I’ve always wanted I own a vortex venom which is double the price of the archon and I must say they look the same for anyone waiting or hesitating I would definitely get the arken it has an open dot in the center and radical illumination that is actually nice to look at
