The “fake” Streamlight TLR-1 HL seems to be LEGIT enough for me!!! I’ve also been looking at real websites (Cabela’s, Streamlight, etc) and notice some of theirs with similar markings as my $35 “fake.” So are they ALL “real” or are top shelf companies buying very good knock offs too? Who knows! 🙂

I bought a real tlr1hl used one on eBay, worked for a while and then the led bulb cracked from heat, still works but not as bright and the color changed to a slight yellow instead of white.
I got one of the fake ones, and it lasted about 300-400 rounds. No longer works. I do have a real one also that has a couple thousand rounds on it and its still going. If the fake one still worked, I'd say go for it. Thinking of replacing the fake one with another real one.

You shoul check out the goonbeam pistol lights,they have tlr footprints but performance is way better
Ah man, congrats on the addition….. Now, call me naive but not for nothing, I didn't know they made fake ones… The only different I see (besides the battery and hot sign) is the email address on the side of the fake one. That stood out right away. I went right to the gun closet and checked all of mine!!!!! Thankfully none of them have the email address on it. dammit man, thats crazy. Yeah, the packaging on the real ones are just clear plastic and cardboard…. Thats funny! Thanks for sharing…. you gonna have me looking at everyone lights at the range on Sunday!!!!!!
My only worry with a knock off is how hot the battery will get
