  1. On installing the ejector pin, you used the punch to line it up, then once the pin drove the punch out you used a hammer, why not just keep the ejector compressed and use the pin only ? Did I miss something?

  2. An ejector installation tool makes it much easier. Never reuse a slotted roll pin once you remove it, use a new one. The rubber D ring or doughnut is only necessary if the extractor spring being used is weak. Use a 5 coil Sprinco extractor spring and discard the rubber ring. If a strong extractor spring is used with a rubber ring, it can over tension the extractor inducing malfunctions. Mark one side on the top of your cam pin and always install it the same direction and you will only wear one side of it, making it last longer. When installing the cotter key, position the flat end of the cotter key parallel to the carrier and push down on the end of it while inserting so it stays in the cotter key track, making installation much easier. This works with cotter keys that have the ends spread apart..

  3. If the extractor does not have a gasket should you put a gasket on prior to Installation sir. Also from a previous question what was the oil you recommended sir. I found and ordered TM 25 Grease to use.
