I had one since about 2018 and always bought the spring replacement kits and would replace them every so often. The two springs that seem to always break for me is the extractor spring. Well that doesn't really break so much as I lose it once in a while and just get one from the bag. The fire pin is something that also breaks into two for me. I found it has like one end that is tighter than the other but I found that after using it for a while both ends kinda fits the same so I think you're putting the slightly wider end into it and it causes the breakage. I just replace them everytime it gets to this point so I don't have to worry. You can buy the spring kits off Midwayusa, I usually buy two bags worth and replace them. Also, don't dry fire it as I learn that too causes a breakage. The firepin doesn't have anyway to stop so it continues forward and eventually causes a breakage. I stopped doing dry fires with it but sometimes it doesn't pick up a round from the magazine and you hear a "click" but that fire pin is now hyperextended and one time my spring snapped that way. So yeah, it's definitely the achilles heel of the cmmg kit.
I bought the upgraded springs, extractor, and firing pin as backups because I know my kid will inevitably break or wear them out.
Do you use these in any AR's that have adjustable gas blocks? Any issue with the gas blocks getting gummed up due to all the extra residue that comes along with 22lr?
