People pay a lot of money for some AR15’s, but why? What do they really offer over a lower cost, milspec rifle?

Buy the builder kit and build it out how you want and save money on parts by buying during sales and you can still achieve sub moa accuracy/reliability.
Because fawk yew! That's why!
Not worth it
From my humble experience, the word “proprietary” rarely proves to be beneficial while always proving to be very expensive. No thank you.
With the glut of very dependable, accurate and affordable AR’s that are available for purchase from various firearms manufacturers, coupled with the ability of the careful and wise builder to source quality parts and construct their own outstanding AR, I have never understood the rush to buy AR’s at such inflated prices.
But in the beloved Republic in which I grew up, such freedoms are the understood, inalienable right of EVERY, single American citizen! 👍🏻🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸👍🏻
Needs a kag grip and m600.. oh and i stil think bcm is the best
All AR’s are the same, bottom line. The HK416 is an other example of people who like to spend money.
A lot of gun snobs will say he's wrong but think buying an over priced luxury car is stupid lol
You overpaid brother. It's cheaper to build your own from the ground do so you know what you getting for your dollar
Psa. This has been a psa.
I promise you , my $ 800 ARs will shoot just as good or better than any of those "high end" ARS because accuracy is the shooter , not the gun . PSA makes ARs that can easily compare or surpass any of the expensive ones , for a quarter of the price .
Agree 👍
Why even buy an AR if it's all proprietary.
$25 BAD lever does the same thing to any cheap ARF
What does everyone think of the UK Rangers and Royal Marines purportedly adopting 10,000 KAC KS1 rifles? Why do we think they won out against other entries like the HK416 and SIG SPEAR?
The wonderful thing about the consumer market is that people can spend their money on whatever fool gadget they want. If they're living within their budget, I say more power to them. I just live with the realization that what is most important is usually the skill set of the person behind the gun rather than the gun itself. To paraphrase one of my favorite characters in fiction, "As long as it can shoot, pretty much any gun will do."
If it makes pebbles supersonic it works. The crackhead trying to steal my cheerios at 4am don't care what build I'm running.
Love the fat electrician shirt
Can buy 6 $500 starter AR-15s for $3K vs 1 for that price! Pretty much the same features shooting the same ammo!
For $3k Id rather have a Daniel Defense M4A1 or a Geissele Super Duty with an optic, a light and a case of ammo.
Agreed, with reasonably priced factory options and the ability to build your own AR-15 however you'd like, I just can't see why anyone would spend that much on one.
The militiaworks does the same thing for 1k less sheesh
Status symbol. I could afford to drive a BMW or Merc- but I drive a Ford Ranger. I don't need to drive my **
That’s a total waste of money
I'd rather spend $3,000 on a proprietary AR than get ripped off on milsurp Dragonov's.
When I move to America I would willingly spend ANY amount on a weapon.
My life costs for than a few thousand bucks
Why 3k because you can, why spend 3k because you can?? Same reason people buy designer clothes i suppose🤷♂️🤷♂️
I'll stick with my solgw and geissele, thank you very much
Never agreed with Mac more.
I am into the Rogers super stock on it though. Under rated.
The radian upper is the single most overpriced part in the entire gun world
get a magpul bad lever and call it a day. Save a couple grand
Need to have more patriots that are willing to purchase firearms for other Patriots that may have issues in their past that prohibits them from purchasing but our good citizens good people otherwise you know how to do the vetting process, or if you really have the finances to help help them get their rights back, we need more armed Patriots in this country
