In this video, I will show you a one-of-its-kind lantern that uses 18650 lithium cells as its power source. The Streamlight Siege X comes with a USB rechargeable 2600mAh lithium ion battery cell. But you can also use any button top 18650 lithium cell or even two CR123A lithium cells if you choose. #streamlight #18650 #18650batterycharger

  1. i like the Streamlight Siege AA its small easy to carry in camping and its floats, i like the AA battery that i can carry a spare of Alkaline AA batteries during long days of camping no worries of recharging and easy to dispose. Easy to find AA size batt. I use AAA battery on my headlight and My Garmin GPS also use AA battery. I dont like not like the newer once that uses 18650 and 21700 batteries or the build in batt that needed to be charge thru folding solar panels or powerbank. I only use my powerbank back up for my device like phone and camera.. Its better to pack light in long camping trips. For home use i use rechargeable batt like eneloop to save money on batteries.

  2. I bought one from A####n and it has more features that you show in this video, maybe they upgraded the Siege X? Anyhow, it has a 'RED' mode as well as the white, both modes have Full, SOS flashing (not just plain flash) and medium – I didn't find a 'low'. The torch is handy if you want to identify something at a distance and you don't want to light yourself up like a target or ruin your (or your camp mates) night vision even more than using just the torch will do. The push button also glows different colors depending on the charge state of the LiIon battery – green, white/yellow and red for nearly flat.

  3. Goal Zero also make (or made) a lantern that had a removeable Li Ion battery – but every Goal Zero lantern (3 out of 3) I bought failed within 2 years somewhere in the circuitry, they turn on by themselves and you can't turn them off, so I wouldn't recommend them
