Why Q’s AR-15 Will Disrupt the Market: The Sugar Weasel 16″

Not many people associate Q with the AR-15, but the Sugar Weasel might be the most significant “new” AR-15 to come around in years. While the Sugar Weasel started life as a more economical Honey Badger, it’s arguably going to be a more versatile and popular rifle than the Honey Badger itself.

  1. Wow, a milspec ar with a slightly better trigger and safety. Definitely can't find those for a third the price. At that price point i could be looking at LWRC, DD, PWS, you name it. All are going to be a hell of a lot better value than the garbage Kevin vomits out.

  2. List of spotted issues with this gun:

Has the WORST Magpul Stock (Its used because it allows you to advertise that the gun is lighter).
This is almost immediately gonna be changed by most people to one of the following, a Magpul CTR, B5 Bravo, Vltor IMOD or Hogue Over-molded stock. (These are also my recommendations for stocks).

Zero ambidextrous bolt release, Could've 100% have used a Magpul B.A.D. ambi bolt release Lever for the price (The Magpul B.A.D. are $30).

Zero ambidextrous magazine release, for a almost 1/2 price you can get a SIG M400 with an ambi mag release lower. OR used an Arms Unlimited Ambidextrous magazine release for $20-25.

Mediocre grip, really nothing to say, most people would get a Magpul MIAD, or a Strike Industries AR Overmolded Enhanced Pistol Grip to replace this.

Minor complaint- 16 Inch barrels are kinda unsought for, they should've made a 14.5 pinned and weld with a muzzle device that allows suppressors (like a SureFire WarComp).

Lastly, this entire gun can be made by yourself, cheaper, and better, than the cost of $1600 for the Sugar Weasel.
For this price you can get:
    PSA AR Lower $40
PSA Custom Drop In Single Stage/2 Stage Trigger $80 (They are really good for the price)
EMG 8 position buffer tube w/H2 buffer ~$80
Magpul CTR, MIAD Pistol Grip, ESK Ar Selector MOE Trigger Guard & BAD Lever ~$160
Arms Unlimited Ambidextrous magazine release $20

These are in all ~$380 For a really well put together lower
    Upper Choices:
PSA "Sabre" 14.5 W/Pin/Weld SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider $550 Upper. ~$950 COMPLETE w/ lower as written
PSA "Sabre" Forged 16" $550. ~$950, same as other
BCM Complete 14.5 W/SurFire Warcomp Pin/Weld, Mod 3B Charging Handle, and BCG ~$1,050. $1500 complete (Still $100 cheaper than Sugar Weasel 16)

This is another AR, at-least the Honey Badger is unique for it's cost, this isn't.

  3. Yaaawn… Only for the clown sheep who fall for such nonsense. The AR has been tapped out with a select few companies. POF being top dog. Yawn.

  4. 5:43 says it all. You get a gun thats oem'd by other companies, assembleed, and sold with a giga mark up, when you can spend the same amount of $, buy basic armoree tools, and build your own better setup.

    Take my bepsi challenge
