How to Setup Your New AR

I live in California so, no suppressors allowed but my 13.9 Ballistic Advantage upper pin and welded to 16 inches with a Streamlight RM2 and Sig Sauer Romeo 5 serves me well!

anyone have an opinion on pinning and welding a can in order to make it the legal 16in with a 11.5 barrel? or should i just get a SBR stamp then get a can from there.

I've watched a few AR setup videos. I've noticed that backup irons are not on most setups… Is there a reason for this?

Thoughts on BUIS's; The trend seems to be AWAY FROM BUIS's, or is that my imagination? I'm closer to a mall operator than an operator..not even COD rated, but I DO use quality gear and components including NF, Aimpoint and a few Eotech's. Are optics, primarily RDS, reliable enough to render BUIS's into "not really necessary" gear?

I have a sig rattler (5” barrel) in 300 blackout. I have a Holosun AEMS, with a magnifier, and MAWL C1+ with a surefire sps300 can. So clearly a close range/CQB weapon – what range would you zero it in at? Have you(or anyone) zeroed a laser at a different range than their red dot?

Not going to register and pay for a can. Screw that. Barrel too short for decent ballistics. 99.9% don't need an IR laser.

Similar setup 7.5in barrel with 6” can, holosun 510c, surefire light with pressure pad, and folding stock adapter for discrete stowaway bag until needed.

What about the acog with rmr mounted on top? Close range with rmr and acog can give you extended range with holdovers in reticle.

Hey Mike great video, but what about some backup iron sights ? I see, that many of US gun setups are without these in these days. I can understand that there are not much necessary for "Self-Home defense" rifle, but still….Or laser is that backup ?

i have a question on the use of the suppressor does it change the pressure??? does it add to the carbon build up??? are there any other issues with the use of a can ???
