We were originally interested in the FoxTrot Mike AR’s. I picked up one of the new 102’s that use AK mags and in the box came a sheet of paper I found a bit concerning. Then we discovered the rifle had some assembly issues.

  1. I really like the FM ideas, but I have seen numerous reports of issues. I don't want to invest my money (which is hard to come by at the moment) into something that doesn't hold value long-term

  2. Nope. I have a few AR's and a few BRN-180's. Thought about FMs in the past, but the weird proprietary nature of the guns and the many references to poor QC are a deal breaker. Good video Tim, thanks.

  3. I built and SBR'd a lower which I intended to get a 12.5 inch ARAK21 upper from Faxon Firearms. They since stopped making them. The only company that I found that made a 12.5 inch self contained upper was Foxtrot Mike. Would have preferred a Jakl upper or definitely a Virtus upper. But none available with a 12.5 inch barrel. I wanted to stay with the 12.5 inch instead of sending the AFT a letter to edit my stamp. So I'm stuck with the FM15 upper for now. Haven't shot it yet.

  4. That's such a weird angle, you didn't mention the single source parts issues in any other combat rifle reviews I've seen. Why being it up here? Is it because it looks like an AR? That's valid, and there may be some who but one not knowing, but you should emphasize that, instead of discouraging any innovation or deviation from an AR.

  5. For $850 to $899 people can buy this 💩 and that’s not included with tax so at least $1,000 , for that price point go for a low end daniel defense or better yet a Smith and Wesson AR5 . The market as a whole should just come together and black list this territory designed rifle .

  6. Jeeze. Fighting with that recoil spring gave me flashbacks to my Walther P22. I freaking hated that gun bc it was so dang hard to get back together. They even included some stupid plastic dowel rod to help the spring from kinking. Why companies choose to include parts to make up for poor designs instead of just building a better gun is beyond me.

  7. It is lost on me why with such great offerings like Daniel Defense or BCM that you would buy a rifle like this from a no name company chulk full of proprietary parts
