  1. Hi Coch,

Great info. Thanks. I just finished putting together my first AR10 (15th rifle but first AR10), and I’m trying to decide on a smaller red dot to mount on top of my 4-16 scope.

I’d like to ask for your favorite recommendation for a small red dot for that application. I saw you have a couple of them mounted on top of your scopes but I couldn’t hear you well enough to determine the make and model of your red dots.

Thanks in advance and I deeply appreciate your channel and the way you carry yourself as a man of honor. Thank you!!!

Ps. I’m building this for my youngest son as a farewell gift to him. He’s 27 and I’m 62 and dying from MS. Time is short so I need to finish this project asap. Thanks again!

  2. On that first 10.5 build, is that “muzzle device” aka linear comp or blast can pinned and welded to make a 16” OAL barrel? Or did you swap out for an actual 16” barrel and put on a SD Tactical barrel shroud, which is the only product on their website that I could find that looks like the muzzle end of that gun? Either way it looks awesome and I fully intend on copying you.🤠

  3. there isnt one AR10 in that whole group. Only an ArmaLite is an AR10, everything else is a copy cat. I have 2 AR10s, one is an AR10A4F I bought and the second one is also an A4F I built from scratch with an SASS barrel. Ill put my ArmaLites up against any of yours and out shoot it 2:1. Theyre not much heavier than your light weight and the advantage of a 20 in barrel is astounding. As far as your bolt gun goes I have something for that too. Its a Savage Precision in .300 PRC which has an effective range of 2000 meters and has more energy at 1000 meters than your .308 has at the muzzle. Navy SEALs? Which team? Im former Second Battalion Second Marines "Warlords" and we always considered SEALs as glorified Marines (which they are).

  4. Was recently given a stock/factory colt AR rifle in 5.56. It is my first tactical/home defense rifle that I will not be setting up for hunting/super long distance shooting as well. Was wondering what companies you would recommend either sending the rifle too or buying the upgraded parts as well as forward grip, rail, barrel, suppressor, red dot etc and just bring it to a local gun shop/smith & have them just put bolt on parts on the paint /powder coat it myself. Have customized my pistols in the past with powder coating and simple stuff. But with this new rifle I kind of want to go with a particular color scheme etc as well as Stuff like upgrade trigger, barrel, rail system, butt stock, red dot site, flashlight, Lazer site and do the rifle and parts in a custom and matching color scheme way. Any recommendations as far as companies that will take the rifle and do everything I want plus paint, powder coat or ceramic coat that you know do good work id appreciate n love to look into

  5. in order to reduce as much recoil you want a heavy gun, assuming your in the 6.5cm/.308 world. plus .308’s are in their sweat spots at 20-24”. I get what you were experimenting with but even the military is trying to cram a 6.8 on a 16” barrel mainly in hopes to match the range of the AKs. Stats show they’d be better off sticking with the M4. Personally I love me some .300 subsonic suppressed for CQB, AR15 for mid range and 6.5cm for long range or .338 Lapua(hell yeah).

  6. Excellent vid and timely (for me!). I've had an .308 matched up/low receiver set sitting around waiting for me to build it into something. I haven't been able to decide what kind of rifle or pistol to make out of it. Actually I still don't!! You've given me at least a couple of more options I think now. Liking the idea of a 14.5 p&w up to 16in length now. Sort of a do-all 308 build I guess. Good range but still handy.

  7. Cool video. I made a cloneish "MK11" Kreiger SOCOM barrel. It is a shooter. .38" group with Federal Gold Match consistently. Then I made a 16" AR10, kind of a fighting 308. Next up will be a bolt action AR10 to go on a lower that the bolt catch/release was made out of spec. It is hard to stop making these things once you get started. If I just had more money.😁

  8. Guys like Coch need to be PAID to be hands on for our current Military people. My Dad was a Marine, I was not, but I try and help how I can. I'm an old guy and know a lot of former and current Military people (Mostly kids of friends or that I coached) and a LOT of them, old and young, are having tough times, especially with mental, alcohol or personal issues and the Military is NOT providing the support these people deserve! I truly hope guys like Coch and others are begged to talk to some of these people, young and old, and help em out during and after their service years!

  9. Hey quick question! Your 3rd AR with the 16’ barrel, how far have you been able to shoot out with that? I have a 18’ black rain and it’s just a beefy bitch. I don’t mind cqb with a 16 but it’s not possible with the 18’ not to mention mine weighs 12.6 ib unloaded.

  10. as for a bad-ass figure You are very humble person…..still, I would preffer not to meet you in a dark alley,,,thanks for the informative video,, U R living wisdom
