Colt AR15A4 Unboxing 2023

Congratulations on your purchase of a new Colt. Colt has two 20" rifles on the market. There is the AR15A4 and the CR6700A4. You bought the CR6700A4 which comes with the standardized 'Carbine' marked lower receiver that is used for their CR-series product line.

If a person wants an AR-15A4 marked lower receiver, they need to make sure they request the AR15A4 from the retailer.

The yellow mark under the front sight base on the barrel is a quality control mark.

just ordered from Arms Unlimited….thx for the clue…at $950…would be nice to not get a carbine…but like you, I will live….)) thx for the video…wasnt planning on buying till I saw the price….OH….many of the PSA are going for $800 etc….would rather have the "parted out" Colt for a little more…))

Congratulations! You've discovered the truth that Colt doesn't actually make anything for the civilian market anymore. This rifle was subcontracted, likely to US Armament in Texas, a favorite of theirs. Doesn't stop them from pretending and charging you for a Hartford Colt, though. Unfreakingbelievable that they treat their customers this way, and people still give them money for nothing more than a roll mark. It was the same thing with the A1 "reissue:" a reproduction farmed out to Texas and sold as a genuine reissue.

The information regarding contract DAAE20-98-C-0119 has got to be incorrect. $6,371,568 / 32,000 equates to less than $200 per rifle.

What's that big fin right next to the ejection port for? Never seen that on any rifle.

Id love to have one! Virtually the same exact rifle i was issued in the Marines accept for the 3 round burst

Colt is no longer using quality GI spec M16 parts, using subcontract parts…might as well just buy a PSA.

My new Colt Ar15 A4 looks way better then the Colt HBar sporter I once had in the 90".I think I want to keep mine stock and maybe get a FN AR15A4 later down the road. Great video

I just got one two or 3 weeks ago. I got the AR15A4 lower but just the keyhole unmarked upper. Love it.

Hope you post more videos of these Colt ar15a4/m16a4 etc and your m4 carbine. Heck, we don't care if you just throw them up on the table while having dinner and record it all, lol. Any new Colt AR15 video notification on YT is like Christmas morning ! 😀

Just scored me a authentic Colt marked AR15/A4 from Charlie’s Customs yesterday. I had to pay for it. It was so funny I ordered it and was thinking, great now good luck on finding a M5 rail and I found your video. I scooped me up a rail on thoroughbred armament for $235. Thanks for the heads up! Everything just fell in place. Just need a trijicon Ta31 to complete my Fallujah clone.

I looked on Thoroughbred and they're offering the A4 with the P&S rail. The M5 is also still in stock. They have Colts with RIS 2 rails also. Awesome company. I got a few of the Brownells rails and they seem to be the same.

The scuff on the barrel is a silver paint mark…think it's meant to signify chrome bore and chamber. They used to do it back in the day, my upper's the same way. Nice pickup, it's a sweet shooter

I got too many clones!!! and I just got a H&R XM177E2 lower come in today and waiting for the M16A1 lowers to pop back in , I'm a clone addict!

I put together one from the very competitively priced BCM 20" government upper, spike's lower, surplus A2 stock from Numrich, and also surplus penis products M5 RAS, but I keep putting the A2 hand guards back on because I like them so much over the M5 RAS. Call me crazy! But the M5 RAS was $100, and the pair of A2 hand guards were also surplus from Numrich for $13 a pair.

I've gotta have one now
