i can only pass on my research and advice i was given. the red dot is usually above or slightyahead of the ejection port. they say you get better view from the eye to the actual optic. you dont ever want to mount it on orcovering the handguard or the connection where the handguard meets upper. now im just giving you what id heard or been told by optic makers or professional gunsmiths. you have to put it where its comfortable for you to see it properly without squiting or closing your oppisitte eye. again you two dudes look like you have mor fun than should be allowed, and thats the exactly 101% correct way. youre aces!! cheers
