Today’s video goes over the steps one needs to remove an AR-15’s (SW MP 15 sport 2) handguard ****without using the special tool called a handguard removal tool****, so you can install an aftermarket set if you would like, or clean underneath it.

  1. Yep those delta rings are stubborn and they can be done without tools . Also you don’t have to be in the closet about loving ar15s, this is still America for Christ sakes !!!

  2. This is a terrible video. Removing D-Rings from the Delta isn't a big problem, the re-install is much harder. Convenient that you skipped installing haha.

  3. I was struggling for a whilee and I eventually Wrapped a wire thru the hole on the hand guard near the base of it, and than Pulled the D-ring down and pulled the wire that was SO much easier and I got it my first try with the wire.

  4. Out of curiosity, would anyone decide to keep the default handguard, it seems it would let in less water or rain? Or general debris or mud? Yes the modern ones have rails, and can add stuff but I am wondering if, the standard handguard has some benefits at all?
