AK enthusiasts have always enjoyed wood furniture, but the AR crowd…not so much. That’s beginning to change as AR fans look for new and exciting ways to customize their rifles. We upgraded our basically MILSPEC AR by replacing the collapsible stock and A2 grip and handguard with a solid hardwood laminate set from Boyds Gunstocks. The transformation was amazing. Boyds also has numerous stock options for AKs, and for that we went both conventional and unconventional with a fresh walnut stock set and an eye-catching Zombie Green set. You can find out more at

Hello
Can you tell me what mount and scope you have on the Ar?
that stock on the ak fits terrible, really bad that it can clearly be seen in the video, hell the stock garbage on my RAS47 fits so perfect its actually quite amazing. i like boyds but i would expect better than that.
boyds oh ya thems a winner I called for a ar-15 .h-bar ..they could not tell me if the fatter barrel would fit inside the wood .. never even asked if they could get back to me with some info .. like yes or no .. just something .. so fuck them lost a sale for sure ..and what ever else I can do to fuck them ..
Be prepared to hand-fit the AR handguards. The stocks are beautiful BUT they are not ready to install without substantial hand-fitting. You'll likely need to remove more than a 1/4" of wood to get the handguards to fit.
