A combination of a white light, IR laser module, and pressure switch that gives the same capabilities and ergonomics as my preferred setup at about half the price.

  1. Not trying to be a smartass, but seriously what is your intended use for your millions worth of night stuffs? Red Dawn scenario? Democrat Dawn scenario? BTW Weird Ponzi Schemes was one of my favorite games.

  2. I do not really want a light and laser with PVS 14s unless I a clearing rooms at night. Otherwise in settings other than clearing rooms thermal dominates the night.

  3. IMHO the requirement for a laser is leading people down an expensive path. My recommendation is a solid VCSEL based illuminator (Kiji, Vulcan) and a red dot with solid IR performance such as the AEMS. The one thing people shouldn't be doing is splashing out $$$$ for civilian-rated diode illuminators.

  4. After a lot of trial and error, I have a Steiner CQBL with the Echo Arms ILM and a Z-Bolt Blazer IR head. These are controlled by a Unity TAPS Sync. For white light I'm running a Surefire Dual Fuel, activated by a Unity Hotbutton M-Lok mounted offset. This switch setup lets me use laser only, laser + focusable illuminator, or white light only.

  5. Who needs a IR laser pointer when you can hire someone dressed as a terrifying leprechaun who just runs up and points at your targets

  6. I'm pretty pissed about Streamlight finally "upgrading" the railmount HL-X that took rechargeable 18650s or two CR123s with a big proprietary battery Olight style joke of a product that puts out less candela than the now classic TLR-1 HL pistol light, let alone the downgrade from the actual railmount HL-X… All they had to do was add the same knockoff surefire plug input/button combo tailcap on the same Streamlight scout compatible body and maybe throw in an m-lok offset mount for an actual improved "gen 2" version. That's before even considering tweaking the head for better throw or developing an IR combo head for a really amazing "gen 2" product line… Streamlight making Olight design choices crushes my "for the poors, but a pretty solid option" soul 😔 WTF happened to Streamlight? Did everyone with a brain get snatched up after they designed some new sidewinders and the microstream USB? Hell atleast start by updating the existing decently designed rechargeable lights/18650 batteries with USB-C ports before changing the lineup and brand name to "StrOlight Tactical" 🤦‍♂️

  7. I heard someone say surefire was dumping the Vampire series, cant confirm that but if so its a shame. I've always had a scout on a Haley mount with the newest possible vampire head as long as I can remember. I'll set you up with a DBAL A3 FP Hop, hell with budget options – go broke or go home LOL.

  8. Yes somogear is coming out with a Ngal but still doesn’t use vcsel for IR illumination like the invisible sight one does, if you can wait on the waiting list for six months you can get a full power ngal with vcsel IR for under $1000 but then you still have to source white light on top of that so perhaps the laserspeed fl5 is the best bet as many say.

  9. I would recommend you trying Holosun LH321R/G (not LS), it is a full power version, for 60-80 bucks more, almost nobody heard about. I assume Holosun would provide you one for testing.
