The Anatomy Of An AR15 Barrel

I know the barrel has a gas port but do they come dimpled as well ?

I’m in the process of a Aero build and was about to purchase the barrel and rail to go with my Aero upper and lower and was just wondering about the dimple

My barrel says 4150 CMV SR
…. WHATS THE SR MEAN?

Your mid length 16" upper. Is it a 14.5" with a pined and welded A2 birdcage?????
Or is a 16" barrel before the added A2 birdcage?
