In this video we take a dive into the .22LR Conversion Kits. These allow you to convert your .223/5.56 chambered AR to shoot .22LR.

Make sure you choose the right one as there’s also left handed variants and one designed specifically for our Mk57 (5.7×28) upper.

  1. I own and have used your conversion kit in the past with good results in general. I stopped after picking up a 15-22. Been looking at your dedicated 22lr uppers which I assume work just like conversion kit without the chamber adapter. Couple questions, since I have a bunch of 15-22 magazines I was wondering if you have tried the Better-Mag adapter in your conversion kits and 22lr upper? Also, with the dedicated 22lr upper what kind of accuracy can you expect with something like CCI MINI MAGs? I ask because with the conversion kit I have noticed I get some back and forth movement inside my upper which seems to open my shots groups up somewhat.

  2. This man knows where of he speaks. I have 3 of these and they are a ton of fun and savings. I would recommend using CCI AR Tactical with them for optimum performance, but they do work with other ammo brands. Obviously I am a fan.

  3. I've had mine for a few years now and these things shoot as about as good as any other semi-auto .22, other than maybe an accurized rifle. My favorite thing about it, other than it's accuracy, is that it allows me to shoot 2 calibers with one gun so I have more space for steaks and beers in the truck.

  4. One of my favorite things about my conversion is being able to shoot .22 through a faster twist 5.56 AR barrel. It stabilizes the Aguila 60 grain SSS .22lr very nicely, and is awesome to shoot suppressed.

  5. I own one. Only thing I don't like about it is that I have to spend more to get the part for the forward assist to work and I don't like the charging handle that comes with it because it's a bit small. Also why build a .22 LR when you can have a .22 LR and a 5.56 upper?

  6. Great video. I am going to try to get a couple of those new mags. They look a lot better than the grey beast of a mag I have. Thanks again! Cmmg is an awesome company.
