This video is not the end all be all, but I personally believe it is a very simple and effective way to clean your AR. If you have thousands of rounds down range, you can follow these same steps, but take more time to make sure you are getting all of the carbon buildup. 1. I use transmission fluid to clean and lubricate my ar. Since I'm not in a hurry, I'll let the parts soak in the transmission fluid for about 10-15 mins and that normally breaks up any carbon build up or makes it very easy to scrape off. Been doing it for a few years now and no problems.

  2. same way i clean mine . only i am ocd about clean barrels lol . love the hoppes oil and the rem oil . i love how some guys and so called instructors basically tell people to dunk the rifle in a bucket of oil lol . but if you don't clean it i guess you need to run it dripping wet lol . great video . on my target rifles i use grease on the inside of the upper and on the bolt carrier rails . as i want it to be lubed and the lube stay in place . but only on my target rifles .

  3. First time ar owner, bought a Del-Ton Sierra 316L from Sportsman's Warehouse completely out of randomness, was getting some 9mm and .45 rounds saw it, liked it and decided to buy it. I've never owned a modern sporting rifle and field stripping was a concern. You're video and the complex simplicity that is the genius of the AR platform made it fun rather than intimidating. I'll be getting another 1 now, very effective, efficient and very fun to shoot, clean and own.

  4. Naw dog you can’t just drench your rifle in cleaner if you plan on using it. I don’t know if your hoppys is alcohol based or what but if you did that with clp you’d be bleeding carbon all over for months

  5. There is nothing proper about this video 95% of what was said and demonstrated is wrong in terms of whats proper . Dumping oil in a gun is not only asinine but its also the wrong lubrication for the job at hand , 99% of people who actually run and understand the basic mechanics of their rifle run thin grease it is proven superior to oil and all that oil you dumbed into your bcg what ever made it into the expansion chamber is going to turn straight into carbon , that kind of pressure and heat doesnt blow oil anywhere it instantly vaporizes it

  6. My Daniel Defense needs more cleaning than any other gun I have ever owned. ARs are dirty guns. I have cleaned my Browning A-Bolt 1/1000th as often and it takes way less effort. AR style rifles are baby-soft little wimps. I would NEVER consider an AR to be a dependable weapon. I can't wait to sell my 2200 dollar AR to get something fun AND reliable.

  7. Not bad…but
I think you need to change the title…How to "Quick Clean" your AR…and even then you left out 1 or 2 things…at least from my point of view…not that it means squat 😉 😄 anyway🙃.
