The protac HLX only has a 23 hour battery life if it's set to low.
When it's set to high using it's full 1000 lumen power, it's 1.25 hours, close to the TLR RM2.
Otherwise, great test. Very informative. Only thing id like to see is the side to side length of their beams, and strength at the widest angles away from the center.
Also, did you move the light stand at all between the two shots at 4:20?
I have a Streamlight with red laser on my 300 B/O. I love it. I couldn't say which one it is but it does what I need it to do. I also have a Sightmark light/laser/IR on my 556 with an IR scope. Its bulky and gets banged on quite a bit. I may upgrade to the Streamlight that has IR capability based on the compactness.
Ah! Finally. I followed you on BRS. Been reefing for years. My "#2 fill up my time and empty my wallet since Im retired" are my ARs. Good seeing you apply legit tests and explain what and how they work. Thank you. By the way. Do you still reef??
Science is always a great topic
Very cool video, can't wait to see the next, I basically say oh more lumens! The better but that's not the real deal, I guess?? I actually have no idea what lights to buy for what weapon…pistol, rifle, etc 🤷
