This is a quick one with my Eotech. Still rough and I wish I range footage but that will be for another time. Presenting, my experience on this optic for the past 2 years.

Unless physics change, laser diodes will never, ever be as efficient as LEDs. Nothing is as good when it comes to night vision performance though!

For me, eotech is too $$ to justify it. Lpvo is similar price and more versatile. But i heard eotech has the best nv setting

I don’t think there’s a POU outside of night vision that where the Eotech would be the best choice. They are certainly neat, but the weight and battery life disqualifies it for me personally.
1:47 is that Lena Miculek? She's oddly sexy for looking exactly like her dad.
It sounds like the advantages of the Eotech easily outweigh the limited battery life. Also, love me some Rock Raiders!
Red dot vs Eotech… apples vs oranges…. they may appear similar at first glance, but perform thier functions through different technologies. If it helps, think of red dots as general purpose vs the eotech as a cqb sight. The red dot can get you reduced cost, reduced weight, increased battery life, and smaller size. The Eotech brings no forward signature, largest field of view, least parallax, a fast acquisition reticle with ranging feature, and actually performs better with magnification. It's up to you to decide if the weight or battery life are deal breakers. Just understand that the two are not quite the same tool.
This is super awesome! I dont own any of these but I ran one during a 2 day course last year and ive been on the fence on spending the money. Now that it is explained in such detail, I may have to suck it up and get one. Great content as usual. Thanks for sharing. Im already sub'd. Keep going.
I've got two 512's. Love those things!
