  1. As of October 2, 2022 Palmetto State Armory just dropped their cheapest rifle yet. I am subscribed to them and they’re selling a complete upper with bolt carrier and charging handle and entire mil spec lower parts kit with extendable stock and buffer tube and MOE furniture. On the same listing they have a stripped lower receiver right now supposedly blemished although I’ve never actually seen one and I’ve probably bought 20 rifles from them at this point but I digress and it is only 50 bucks both deals are free shipping. Ladies and gentlemen for $390 plus tax and transfer fee which for me is free because I ship it to my local Palmetto State Armory store in Greenville South Carolina you get an entire A.R. 15 that easily has a 4 inch group at 100 yards. and with a better trigger finger and optic and maybe even just spend the extra coin and spend $550-$600 for a complete rifle for a fully custom free floating option which I’ve done before you can easily have a 2 inch group. Hands-down nobody can compete with them. i’ve had A.R. 15‘s from Rock Island Armory not to say I was disappointed but the price point was a lot higher than PSA. I’ve had an A.R. 15 from colt and for the price I was pretty disappointed. It’s just a basic mil spec rifle and not worth what they’re asking for it. I haven’t bought them but I have shot custom firearms from Faxon and I’ve shot A.R. 15‘s that are close to $3000 builds and although there are some shiny parts and cool things on the rifles none of it to me for what accuracy you get and reliability you get seemed worth the extra coin. To each their own though but if you want a good deal go subscribe to Palmetto State Armory. Get yourself an A.R. 15 for 500 bucks or less then get out there and have some fun shooting. As for the modifications to the new colt they’re trying to fix something that isn’t broken. At this point the only modifications I want to see people working on for A.R. 15‘s is to eliminate the need for a buffer system which a lot of companies like Palmetto State Armory are doing with the JAKAL. And if they could figure that out and the next big thing would be to make a bowl pop lower receiver that still took pretty standard AR parts like a factory AR trigger and a factory A.R. pistol grip ET see. At this point I feel like that’s the only improvements they could work on for A.R. 15‘s because the rifle is pretty damn perfect out-of-the-box compared to most.

  2. I have not taken Colt seriously in a long time. This really worries me with CZ buying Colt and the talk that CZ has put Colt management incharge of CZ-USA operations.

  3. Colt M5 carbine has the same Ambi mag release system as the CZ Bren 2 or Colt 901, beefed up trigger pin, hammer pin receiver sections, and some other interesting upgrades…a lot of 901 features. Sorry to hear there's some QC issues. At least a company like CZ (merger/purchase/conglomerate) is the one to bring Colt back to greatness. CZ listens to consumers. As soon as CZ merged, Colt released the M4A1 SOCOM, AR-15A4, and LE6940 again…3 of the best in Colts stables.
