“Truck gun” Jesus that term has been beat to death, vehicles are not holsters, unless your on duty or you have a bolted down safe in your truck. I would never leave my firearms unattended in my truck without them being in a truck safe. Especially because most of you guys have stickers all over the back of your truck, advertising what’s inside. So while you’re stuffing your fat mouths at the restaurant after a “range day”, some jerkoff is stealing your Taurus and your m&p sport from your 2014 base model ram 1500 with gun manufacturer stickers that you don’t even own all over the back glass. The 4.6 and the 5.7 were designed to mimic 5.56 but in a pistol/smg platform.
It makes zero logical sense for CMMG to make these calibers for an AR platform other than "people will buy it". Higher cost firearm, higher cost in ammo, and slightly worse performance than a standard AR. It would be like making an AK in 300BLK. Or an AR-10 in 762x54r. Pointless lol.
