  1. I think bullet proofing a school or a classroom is a BETTER idea (sharing my opinion) In Ukraine there were children that survived the Russian "bunker busting bombs" bombardment in the nuclear rated bunkers. The Azovstal Steel mill. The Russian thermobaric bunker busting bombs epic failed…
You DON'T need a nuclear rated bunker to bullet proof glass room and school buildings! Concrete, bricks or stone wall would do it. If no bullet proof window then just a steel door with no windows.

  2. This girl is a liar, most school shootings use pistols. The media just covers the shootings with AR15's 1000% more because they have an agenda. Most school shootings are actually committed by minorities/gang related and the main stream fake news does not like to show America or the world the truth. The plates needed to stop a rifle round can probably be inserted with the Level III plates though. This test purposely left out the folders and books the student would have in the bag.

  3. A bullet resistant backpack is only as good as it was rated for. Even then it does not mean no injury. I like the reporter. She did an objective piece in a professional manner. She reported honestly without interjecting hyperbole and her opinion. Refreshing. Doesn't hut that she is cute too.

  4. This got me thinking they are literally broadcasting the weapons needed to get through a bulletproof backpack….information can be used for educational purposes but it could also be a problem if used incorrectly 😑

  5. Not sure what this test revealed?! The fact that a IIIA panel will not stop a rifle is already common knowledge. The problem with adding more protection in the form of heavier plates, is that the added weight will decrease the mobility of the person wearing said plates. The more static a target is, the easier it is to destroy. When possible, attempting to run away from a threat it still the best choice, hiding or fighting is only done when no other option is available 🏃‍♂🏃‍♀🏃‍♂🏃‍♀

  6. The 9mm and 44 round is still probably going to kill a kid. Just because the bag caught the round doesn't mean it isn't going to do horrible damage to a child when that bag is strapped to their bodies.

  7. A simpler solution is undercover armed hall monitors, door id scanners and bulletproof classroom doors that lock from the inside. These woke school superintendents don't want a safe school.

  8. i don't know about that ,it can still do internal damage to a young body ,and what about if they use a 7.63 x 39 or 7.62 x 51 one , these rounds will tear thru that backpack ,i still say armed 2A soldiers` and teachers , are the best way to go ,let em do volunteer school patrol

  9. The first round you showed and identified as .44 Magnum looked more like a .45 ACP round.

These could provide some benefit if the children are able to run from the school with the shooter shooting from behind them. If the children are trapped in a room with the shooter, these will be useless.

A more important step is to put mentally ill people in asylums. The Uvalde murderer showed signs of mental illness. He should have been institutionalized.

A more important step beyond that is for people to try to maintain strong families. Many of these shooters come from broken homes. People need to be less stupid in their selection of partners and less selfish in maintaining their relationships.

Ceramic tiles have a bit more resistance to AR-15 rounds than many other materials do. A bathroom tile on the outside and another on the inside of the books in a backpack could deflect the bullet a little bit. Once the bullet's flight path is upset, materials like paper have a better chance of stopping the bullet. If they'd put a ceramic bathroom tile in front of the regular textbooks, that might have allowed the pack plus one or two books to stop the bullet after it had hit the tile.

  10. A steel plate would not cost "a few hundred dollars". I bought one of Amazon for $50 and I've shot it with an AR, it has no problem stopping .223/5.56 rounds

Also Premier Body Armor announced their new soft body armor that stops AR rounds. Idk if it's actually for sale yet but it will be soon. I'm sure they will make backpack panels too with the new armor
